The use of Bio- resources by multinational companies and other organisations without proper authorisation from the countries and people concerned, without compensatory payment is termed as BIOPIRACY. eg. Patenting of Basmati Rice, neem, haldi, harr ,by U.S. Patent System , which have traditionally been grown in India
